What Am I Wearing?

Imagine this scenario - one that is all too real... You and your 15 year old daughter are walking down the grocery aisle together. As you approach a man and his wife, you notice that this "husband" looks at your daughter's breasts which are protruding tantalizingly above her tight, midriff-showing, cleavage-enhancing, white shirt. Her tiny shorts reveal long legs that the "husband" next visits. Do you want your daughters to receive this kind of attention? Is this the attraction that would ensure a strong, loving, respectful relationship that would last a life-time? And is this the type of man you want your daughter to attract? Read More...

A Math Problem

Beware: today is a day for ranting. I am going to share a true story with you. One that might blow your mind away - or perhaps not.

Last week, I went to pick up a pair of shoes for Erin, my 14 year old daughter, at a well-known shoe store in the mall. The cute little girl behind the register rang up the shoes and let us know that the total came to $6.34. I handed her a ten dollar bill, she handed Erin back five dollars and some change.
Erin, with a perplexed look on her face, gave back the money and said, "Uh... I think you gave me back too much change. It was $6.34 and we gave you a ten." Can you guess the outcome? Read on and find out!

The Fruits of Labor

Late on a Sunday night, Jared (my 20 year old) was driving home from Youth. He saw a young man walking along the side of the road, and he felt a stirring in his soul, saying "Stop. Talk to him about Me. Tell him all about My Love." Jared shook his head, thinking that it was just his mind playing tricks on him. He drove on. The feeling persisted; he shook his head again and continued driving. As he approached a construction site, there was a flashing sign saying 'Diversion. Turn around'. He finally got the message.

It's Not the End

I received a post from a lady in a forum, in which she explained the situation with her own Prodigal Daughter. After describing a bit about my own story, she wanted to know more. This is the gist of what I told her (a portion of this has been posted on the Home Page, but this goes into a little more detail). A lot more detail...

Jared's Prayer

"God, guide me in Your Truth, teach me Your Ways. Let Your Will be done, not my will. I love you, God. You are my everything.

"Be my Instructor, teach me the way I should go. Remind me of everything You have taught through Your Holy Spirit and Your Voice.

"Purify my heart... and purify my motives. Let me glorify Your Name, God, I live to bring You glory. Guide me into what's right, and lead me wherever you want me to go. Because I love you."

An Eleven Year Old's View of Easter (Preston)

Jesus died on the cross for our sins. He took every single sin and put it on his shoulders. Yet people think His Name is a disgrace and mock Him, but He still loves them the same amount.

He is a jealous God and wants your heart and wants you to trust Him in all his doings. Yet you throw the hand and ignore Him! He loves you the same.

But you deny Him! He still loves you.

You cheat, lie, use the Lord's name in vain, worship other gods. For he is a jealous and caring God, you do those things and think God will deny you! NO! He has a forgiving heart. Not a resentful hateful, deceitful heart that doesn't care for you!

Yet you won't take in the truth, and you lmock him, and once you die without Jesus, you will see you were wrong! You will be with the devil wishing you had listened to Jesus for the devil will lie to you and say what's wrong is right!

You cheat thinking it's okay, for the devil deceives you! But while you're still alive, accept Jesus, for He will help you through bad times because He died on the cross for you!

HAPPY EASTER!

A Word from Preston (9 yo)

Hi, I am Preston Olds. I'm a book writer as well, I'm still writing my first book. My favorite sport is football, and I'm just not fond of hip-hop and evil music because Satan (Lucifer) will take over your mind. You'll start saying things that they say and get on drugs. Do stuff you're not supposed to do. And I know if you start listening to Godly music you'll be a better person. - To be continued...

A Word from Erin

Watup! My name is Erin, and I am going to give a word about the movies you watch. There are so many movies out there that have inappropriate scenes, and words - immodest women, cuss words, a lot of things that give children the wrong ideas, etc. Whenever we go to the movie store it is so hard to find a movie that is appropriate enough for us to watch - every time you watch a movie like that it pulls you farther and farther away from God and Satan is loving it! In The Bible states many times to be careful of what you watch because that is how Satan snatches you! Before we ever watch a movie we go and check it out on a website called Plugged In Online that gives info on any "glitches" there are in that movie, it's amazing to be warned so you don't have to see all that disgusting stuff! I say you should try it, too! Another solution is clean cuts videos- it cuts the bad parts out then you can rent it without all the hassle of looking all over the store for a clean movie! However, it still may have women who are dressed inappropriately. Whatever you do, you should find a way to stay away from movies like that - I know it makes me sick watching those movies! Your body is a temple of God and it's very important to keep it pure; listen to the Holy Spirit and you're sure to be safe and clean! Thanks for reading my article!
